About Cecille van Gent

After graduating from the Central University of Technology Free State as a Pulmonary Clinical Technologist in 2004, and subsequently working as a Clinical Trial Study Coordinator at an International research unit for 2 years, Cecille van Gent registered her  Private Practice in 2006.

Cecille van Gent worked as a Private Practitioner under Dr. John O’Brien for 9 years conducting Pulmonary Function tests and Sleep Diagnostics. She assisted with Bronchoscopies and Clinical Trials. Cecille van Gents experience in Paediatric sleep and sleep studies started in 2013 when she began providing diagnostic services to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

In 2015, she was contracted as an Independent Clinical Consultant to a Home Ventilation Programme in South Africa, where she advises on respiratory-related breathing disorders and assists with patients requiring Mechanical Ventilation. It was also in this year that Cecille began working with Paediatric Pulmonologist Dr. Fiona Elize Kritzinger, conducting observed, overnight sleep studies.

Cecille van Gent services include Sleep Studies for diagnosing of Sleep Disorders such as Sleep Apnea, CPAP Titrations, Lung Function Tests and overnight SATS monitoring. Services are offered in Cape Town (Southern and Northern Suburbs), in areas such as Durbanville, Panoroma, Milnerton and Constantia. Services offered are extended to areas in Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Gqeberha.
